‘An Introduction to Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing’ by Lee Rayner, BArts.  An informal pre-performance talk exploring the story, themes and characters. Language, puns and bawdy jokes! An introduction to Shakespeare’s life and times plus Elizabethan Theatre and stage conventions.  4.15pm, Dinant Room, the Spotlight. Tickets £5, incl. coffee.  £4 if booked with ticket for the play. 17TH OPEN AIR PLAY 
Open-air Theatre - ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ presented by BArts in conjunction with The Festival Players.  The acclaimed all-male company in an energetic and colourful production. The course of true love never did run smooth, but the sparring antics of Shakespeare’s erstwhile lovers, Beatrice and Benedick, provide great hilarity for the other members of the household who plot to reunite them. Adults £16 (£15), Under 16 and Students £10, Family 4 - £45.   7.30pm, the Spotlight Gardens, Hoddesdon. Picnics from 6pm.
